Thursday, May 8, 2025 - Day A2

Miller Football Announcement: Any 7th grader interested in playing tackle football there will be a headstart camp at Lenihan Intermediate School on May 18th from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the afternoon.  You will need to bring a water bottle, comfortable clothes, and clean shoes.  If you have any questions, please email Mr. Butler at mbutler@marshalltown.k12.ia.us

Any 7th or 8th Grade volleyball players interested in attending open gym here are the dates. May 18 and 25 Time is 12:30-3:00  These open gyms will be held at MHS. We hope to see you there!

There will be a FALL Sports meeting for all 8th graders going to be freshman at MHS on Thursday, May 15th at 1 p.m.  Students who are interested in participating in Football, Bowling, Girls Swim Team, Cheerleading, Volleyball, Cross Country, Boys’ Golf, Dance Team and Girls Tennis. You will meet in the auditorium at 1 p.m. with MHS Coaches.  Thank you.

Attention 8th graders! Tryouts for the MHS Cheer Squad will be Saturday, May17th. A parent meeting and clinics will start next week! The parent meeting is required is is Wed. May 14th from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Clinics will be Thursday and Friday May 15th and 16th from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.  Tryouts will then be Saturday May 17th at 9 a.m. Registration is now open.  Please check out the poster on the main office window.  

Our PBIS Movie in the Hub has been rescheduled from April 17th to this Friday, May 9th. For 10 PBIS points you can come watch the movie Inside Out 2 from 12:30-1:55. In addition to your PBIS points, you must be passing your classes, be caught up on your work, and have your WIN teacher's permission. If you eat D lunch you can bring your lunch in to eat during the movie. This movie day is limited to 40 students and you must purchase your spot from the PBIS store by the end of the day on Thursday, May 9th. If you already reserved your spot from the rescheduled day in April you do not need to do anything else. Come join the fun and enjoy a relaxing movie day during WIN!

Attention students! Damaging your Chromebook by sticking things like pencil lead into it is dangerous and will have consequences. This has the potential to completely destroy your computer and you will have to pay for its replacement, which is $300. Please make good, common sense choices and treat your Chromebook with respect.
