MCI (Marine Cadets) is hosting an open house for potential new members this Thursday 02 MAY 2024 from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm at the Marshalltown Public Library. All Middle and High School students are eligible to apply. MCI is appropriate for individuals seeking Service Academy appointments, ROTC Scholarships, enlisted careers, or those with a strong interest in a youth military leadership, character development, and adventure program.
We have a limited amount of yearbooks still available to purchase!! If you haven’t paid for a yearbook yet and are wanting one, please be sure to stop in and see Ms. Breniman in #239. Cost of the books are $20 each. Please don’t wait until the last minute. It might be too late!
Attention all artists: we’re looking to create a Miller t-shirt design and we want your skills! This design will be printed onto water bottles, t-shirts, backpacks, stickers and more, so bring your best Picasso designs! Winner will receive a pizza party lunch with three of their chosen friends. This is open to all 7th and 8th graders with a love of drawing and design. Submissions due Wednesday, May 1st to Ms. Wright in room 228 or the counseling office. Attention Students – You are invited to a SLAM POETRY NIGHT! It’s Thursday, May 9th at 6 p.m. at Wayward Social outside at the Gutter Point. This event is free and open to the public but geared towards teenagers and adults. It will feature Matt Mason who is presenting to Miller Students during WIN on Thursday May 9th. There will be a 9th Grade (current 8th boys) Player/Parent Football Meeting on Wednesday, May 1st at 5:30 p.m. It will be held at the MHS Auxiliary Gym but please enter through the roundhouse doors.
